Pre-AGM Pot-Luck Party

Dear SMS Members,

The next Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Friday 28th April at 7.30pm. The notice of the AGM will be sent to you as soon as possible. Light refreshments will be served by the Society after the AGM.

However, before the AGM starts, there will be a pot-luck party from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Members are encouraged to come early to join in the pot luck party by bringing in a small contribution. However, it is fine if you do not wish to join in the optional pot luck party due to work commitment or otherwise. Coming for the AGM is a strong support of your interest in SMS.

If you wish to join in the party, there is no charge. Just bring along enough food, drink and dessert for yourself. Whatever you bring will be shared among all those who come with something. There is no need to bring fancy or expensive stuff. A packet of noodles or fried rice with a packet of soft drink and a piece of fruit will do nicely. The idea is not so much to eat but to chit-chat and network with other members and find out the latest in IT.

NOTICE OF SMS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2006
 
Notice is hereby given that the SMS AGM will be held on Friday, 28 April 2006 at 7.30 pm sharp at the address given below.

The agenda for the Meeting is as follows:
 
1  Confirming the Minutes of the last AGM held on 29 April 2005 
2  Acceptance of the President’s Report for the year ending 31 Dec 2005 
    (Note: The President’s Report will be delivered at the AGM)
3  Acceptance of the audited accounts of the previous year.
4  Dissolution of present Management Committee
5  Election of new Management Committee
6  Election of two Honorary Auditors
7  Any other matters.
 
After the AGM there will be a Lucky Draw/auction of used furniture/equipment for SMS members (please see: http://www.sms.org.sg/agm2006/agm2006.htm for the details) followed by light refreshments.
 
Prior to the AGM at 7.30 pm, from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm there will be a pot luck party for SMS members who wish to participate (please see: http://www.sms.org.sg/agm2006/agm2006.htm for the details)

Post-AGM Lucky Draw

In conjunction with the SMS AGM to be held on Friday, 28 April 2006, a Lucky Draw of donated items will be conducted.
The Lucky Draw will comprise personal items that members do not mind giving away ; or selling cheaply to other members, with proceeds to be donated to SMS.
Members are welcome to give away or sell their unwanted stuff during the AGM. Please contact Mr Teo Soon Bock, SMS Manager at Tel: 6243-3965 or email him at manager@sms.org.sg so that he can update this page with the details of the item(s). Please ensure that the items are in good working condition. You will also need to bring along the item(s) to the AGM.
To attend the AGM and take part in the Lucky Draw/auction, your SMS membership must be valid on the day of the AGM.
