(1) For new members, and those who re-join SMS
(a) For new members : Membership fee is $80 for the first year (inclusive of once only Entrance Fee), payable by cash or cheque.
(b) For those who re-join SMS : Entrance Fee is waived. Membership fee is $60 for one year, or $110 for 2 years, payable by cash or cheque.
(c) They will have a choice of a free gift [either (i) or (ii)] :-
(i) a free 1.2 metre "Cobra" cable : http://www.hiwire.com.sg/cobrainside/index.htm
(to be collected at SMS Hougang venue on Friday evenings)
(ii) the latest version of Ubuntu 8.04 Linux CD (released on 24th April 2008) or,
Fedora 9 Linux CD (released on 13th May 2008).
(d) Ace Computer Services will provide SMS members 1 free servicing for one pc for the duration of 1 year. Parts replaced will be chargeable. Only the servicing itself, eg clearing spyware, formatting, re-install operating system and troubleshooting will be free of charge.
A $10 transport fee will be charged. No transport charge if you bring your problem PC to my house in Pasir Ris. Please arrange in advance to make sure that I am in.

(2) For those who renew their SMS membership (including renewals in advance):-
(a) Renewal fee is $60 for one year, or $110 for 2 years, payable by cash or cheque.
(b) Those who renew membership will have a choice of a free gift [either (i) or (ii)] :-
